SENIOR MANAGER / MANAGER

Responsibilities
1 )  
Provide and coordinate the provision of legal advice, opinion and representation.
2 )  
Responsible for overseeing, managing and resolving legal issues in contracts, litigation matters, tenders and bids, business and operations with both domestic and international markets.
3 )  
Draft, peruse and comment all agreements / solution affecting the Group / contracts involving the Group, including all commercial agreements, terms of business, and other related legal documentation.
4 )  
Work closely and support to the Group Human Resource Division on any Industrial Relations / Employee Relations activities and other operational department in sharing best practices in legal matters and opinions as well as regulatory advices.
5 )  
Represent the Company in any negotiation in connection of litigation, agreements, contracts, etc. with external parties.
6 )  
Advise the management team of potential or prevailing risk / exposure involves from legal point of view and to timely recommend an appropriate courses of action to be instituted in the interest of the Company.
7 )  
Participate on related administrative teams to develop appropriate policies and procedures on legal frameworks for the business to ensure good corporate governance and compliance with the prescribed standards of conduct.
8 )  
Liaise with external solicitors as and when the need arises.
9 )  
Perform other responsibilities as assigned by superior or Management from time to time.
 
Requirements
1 )  
Candidate must possess Bachelor Degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent from reputable universities and be admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya.
2 )  
Minimum 5 to 10 years post qualified experience in a legal firm and/or as an in house counsel.
3 )  
Well verse with statutory requirements, regulations and legislations applicable to corporations in general, with good exposure to manufacturing and / or consumer products.
4 )  
Competent in litigation and demonstrate success in managing and conducting a variety of litigation matters.
5 )  
Excellent interpersonal, communication and management skills with high level of integrity and confidentiality.
6 )  
Must be articulate and possess excellent research writing and analytical skills.
7 )  
Must be willing to work independently and have a strong commitment to ensure corporate / legal compliance.
8 )  
Resourceful, self-motivated, meticulous, strategic thinker and able to work independently.
9 )  
An excellent command of verbal and written Bahasa & English. Ability to speak & write Mandarin will be an added advantage.
